Bamse

Visit the statue of Bamse, the heroic Norwegian St' Bernard who was the mascot of the Norwegian Navy during the second world war. 

His body is buried in Montrose and many of his stories took part here.

House of Dun

The Dun estate was home to the Erskine family from 1375 - 1980. It is now open to visitors and run by the National Trust For Scotland.

Montrose Museum and Art Gallery

The Museum tells the story of Montrose and it's people, from the earliest archaeological finds to the Jacobite Uprising, to the harbour and maritime trade. The museum also has a beautifully set up wildlife exhibit featuring naturally posed taxidermy animals lovingly placed in their habitats behind glass.
